For my birthday, Nick kindly posted the podcast interview with me & my illustrator, Corey Egbert.  SUPER EXCITED to share!

With spots filling up fast on the blog tour, I thought I’d take a moment and ask you to consider hosting a book review for “I Want to Be Baptized” on your blog…pretty please!  You can sign up HERE.

Check out Boyd’s LDS Books for all my current editions of “The Holy Ghost is Like a Blanket” and “I Want to Be Baptized”.

Someone help me find an email address for Mark Robison who did the illustrations for the true story published in the Friend (Sept 2010) called “Garbage Can Graffiti.” I’d like to thank him!

And let me know what you think of David Habben’s ink work… I’m thinking he should do my next children’s book.

Side note — I was reading our daughter, Sofia the First, and the question Sofia asked “How can I be a princess and myself?” has struck an accord with me…I wonder how do I manage ALL my writing styles and still be myself.  I write A LOT. And all different types (some good, some strange, some wildly poetic…) and not just LDS Non-Fiction books, but all kinds of things…and just because I have several children’s books published doesn’t mean I haven’t had my fair share of rejection letters for my other works…and yet, I was surprised to read an article “Many Eggs, Many Baskets” that totally made sense.

A bit of advice — draw, write, read…perfect your craft. Whatever you do, do it well and be kind. My husband tells me that an amateur writes until she gets it right and a professional writes until she can’t get it wrong. The crossover from amateur to professional doesn’t end with publication because I’m still in pursuit of writing it right.

I draw. I read. I write. I write more.

Today I discovered the world of screenwriters at Scripts & Scribes….wow! I’m beyond excited. After publishing three children’s books (not including translations into Spanish & Portuguese) and writing over four complete novels in the last year…yes, I’m that in love with writing that I plan to complete two screenplays by the end of the year too…I’m crazy, but not insane *or is it the other way around? LOL.

Smile friends!  We loved to write today and live to edit tomorrow!!

If you’re in Vegas 25-28 Sept 2014, see my friend, featured author, Jewel Quinlan…she’ll be signing books at Hot Mojave Knights. Join the Salsa Party too!
