Suffice it to say, my family history is filled with blind ding-batted folks with varying degrees of sight. Almost a year ago, my husband surprised me with the funds to get Lasik and so our friend, Dr. Jim Davies performed the surgery and instantly could see everything around me. Driving to work is void of the haze and amazed at what I was missing.
So today and I ventured to discover new publishers willing to review my work, I thought about EYES and books for those without the ability to use the full capacity of them eye-boggles!

Braille books cost 3-5 times more than regular books. The bumpy basics for many board books include overlays of braille stickers, but I think we’re missing a great opportunity to provide children with books for them. Reading and writing in braille is different, but not less encouraging for the brain, imagination and quest for knowledge.
